MOWOC’s five staff members work closely with our volunteers at our Bledsoe Road location to meet the needs of a growing number of Coweta residents.
MOWOC provides meals to all our clients through two plans geared to meet the individual circumstances. One provides 5 meals per week and the second provides 7 meals per week. The ability to freeze and store meals allows MOWOC to make once-per-week meal deliveries to more remote areas of the county that previously had not been served because of the time, distance, and volunteer commitment required. The outcome is meal delivery to more elder adults in need, including those who have not been eligible to receive meals before because of their geographic location in the county. Additional financial support and more volunteers are needed to increase meal service.
Frozen meals are delivered Monday-Friday to clients throughout Coweta County. These meals are prepared our Chef Hannah Eure and packaged by volunteer kitchen assistants in MOWOC's kitchen at 30 Bledsoe Road in Newnan. Chef Hannah prepares 1500 nutritious meals weekly for delivery on 33 routes throughout Coweta County. This is because of the support of generous donors and dedicated volunteers.
